The user guide, step by step. If you cannot find the answer, write to us: we answer ourselves.
Sign up with your email, then create the club: the 30-day free trial of the Club plan starts by itself, with no card.
From the club you create the first tournament: title, date, number of rounds and scoring table. The names of the pairs are enough.
From the club open «Members» and invite by email. Each person has a role: the administrator looks after the club and the subscription, the referee runs the tournaments, the reader only looks.
An invitation lasts 7 days: if it expires, you send it again.
Yes: the demo at /prova has a tournament already under way with 25 pairs. You can touch everything, nothing is saved.
With «Ready-made pairs» you type one pair per line (the two names separated by a dash) or use the two fields and «+ Add pair».
With «Single players» you add one player at a time, then in «I make up the pairs myself» you tap two names to put them together. If you would rather not choose, there is «Draw lots for the rest». The players have to be an even number.
Under the list you find the regular pairs (or the regular players, if you are signing up singles) of the last twelve months: one tap and they are on the list.
The club’s players are also in the address book, which you can import from your Excel.
In each round one pair sits out, the «zoppo», and is awarded the set points (as a rule 1,500 points and 12 VPs). The software picks who rests; in the first round you can pick them yourself from «How to make the tables».
Yes: in «How to make the tables» tick «Keep the sign-up order», then «Make the tables».
On each table you type the points of the two pairs: the VPs are worked out for you. Enter moves to the next field, Alt+number jumps to a table.
Burraco scores are multiples of 5: any other score is not recorded and the table tells you so.
Correct it on the table: standings and prizes are redone by themselves. In closed rounds too: pick the round from the numbers above the tables.
The last change is undone with «↶ Undo» or ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z.
When every table has handed in, «Close the round» lights up: the software prepares the tables for the next round (and who rests). In the last round the button becomes «Close the tournament».
Never on its own: with the round open you see 45:00 standing still and the button «▶ Start the clock». You press it when the room is ready.
With − and + you take away or add a minute (before starting it too); «stop» and «go on» for a break.
When every table has handed in, the clock stops by itself.
The «Player screen» shows the room the Table Board (each table with points and VPs, and who is resting), the standings and the clock; at the end of the tournament, the podium. Nothing can be changed from there.
On the computer press «📺 Player screen» (or the G key): a separate window opens. Drag it onto the projector and press «Full screen». You carry on working in the tournament window: what you type appears there by itself.
The views rotate by themselves. With the buttons at the bottom (or ← → and the space bar) you pick a view and hold it.
Print the QR cards (one per table, good for the whole tournament). The table captain scans the QR code, types the points and sends them; the opposing pair confirms on the same phone.
On your screen the table shows «📱 to confirm»: you confirm, reject, or type the right score yourself.
Yes: turn on the live standings and print the QR poster. With «Where do I play?» everybody finds their table and opponents for the round. Nothing to install.
With the prize table of the Excel program, based on the tables and the entry fee. You can always type them by hand in «Prizes», and choose the technical prize.
Standings, tables, players and cards can all be printed; the standings also export to CSV. Finished tournaments stay in the club archive.
By itself: whoever you sign up to a tournament enters the address book, and attendance and winnings update with every tournament that starts. Tap a column heading to sort the list.
If you already have a list of members you can import it from a file: see «Importing players».
Open the player from the address book: correct the name, add membership number, email and phone. With the email they can get the tournament results; with the membership number they sign up from their phone.
Every player has a personal page with their tournaments, reachable only through their own link: you send it from there, or print it on the membership card with the QR code.
From the player’s card you make a new one: the old one stops working at once. At the bottom of the address book «Make all personal links again» does it for everyone; cards already printed have to be redone.
In the «Roll of honour», from the address book: how many times each player came first, second, third… and the Top 10.
From the address book choose «Import players from a file». A CSV with surname, first name and membership number will do, or an Excel file (.xlsx or .xlsm); old .xls files have to be saved as .xlsx first.
The file is read on your own computer and is not uploaded: you see the list, pick the rows you want and press «Import». Only those reach the service.
Pick that file: besides the players their history comes too — attendance, last tournament, placings and technical prizes. In the address book and the roll of honour the history adds up with the tournaments played online.
No: whoever is already in the address book is recognised and not duplicated. Even if the import stops halfway, you can run it again from the start.
Membership numbers already in the address book stay as they are, unless you tick «Replace the membership numbers». A number that already belongs to another player is not written.
From the club open «Settings» (you need the administrator role): name, town and province.
Yes: in «Settings» open «Victory Point table» and write, for each scoring table, the ten thresholds of point difference. They have to increase; beyond the last one it is 20 to 0. You can also give the table your club’s name.
It applies to new tournaments: a tournament already created keeps the thresholds it was born with, so the standings of a game already played do not change. «Use the program’s» puts the starting thresholds back.
In «Prize table» you write the amounts the club pays for each number of tables. If you do not write one, the program’s table applies.
At the bottom of the settings «Download the club’s data» gives you a file with tournaments, address book, members and subscription: the data is yours, download it whenever you like.
«Delete the club» erases everything for good and asks you to retype the name to confirm: download the data first, if you need it.
Carry on working: the changes stay on the computer and go up by themselves when the network is back. At the top you can see whether everything is saved.
From the club open «Subscription»: you fill in the club’s details (needed to make out the receipt), pick the plan and pay by bank transfer. The subscription starts as soon as the payment arrives, lasts a year or a month, as you choose, and does not renew by itself. Moving up to a higher plan takes effect at once, paying the difference for the months left.
On the club’s Subscription page: a numbered receipt for every payment, to open and print.
No new tournaments can be opened until you take out a plan again. No data is deleted: tournaments, address book and standings stay readable and exportable.
On the sign-in page choose «Forgotten password»: you get a link to pick a new one. You can also sign in with a link by email, with no password.
Yes, from your profile: you export your data and, if you want, delete the account. The administrator can export the club’s data.
